South Sudanese renown journalist Garang John was attacked last evening on his way home by unknown men leaving him with a broken arm.
Speaking to Hot in Juba in Nairobi, Kenya, Garang said that he was attacked by six men who tried to knock him down with a speeding car.
“Yesterday, in the evening while walking home, a speeding car tried knocking me down but failed, then 6 men armed with knives and metallic bars dashed out of the car and started attacking me,” Garang told Hot in Juba.
According to Garang, two men were South Sudanese and the other four attackers were Kenyan.
“The attackers were six and I was able to identify two South Sudanese. They didn’t take anything from me,” Garang, who thinks the attack was politically motivated said.
