Three people killed in Yirol West County revenge attack

Fresh clashes in Lakes state’s Yirol West county on Monday have left three people dead.
The clashes erupted between Pan – Kuol of Luac and Apeer sub-clans of Apaak subsections of Atuot of Yirol West county.
Local sources confirmed that the clashes broke out in the Ariei camp cattle area, resulting in the deaths of three people who suffered gunshot in the exchange.
The fight is a revenge incident following the killing of the brother of the killer last year, allegedly that the perpetrators have not been apprehended by the state government.
As a result, cattle have raided, a thing that had never happened in history of Atuot Community fight. Property looted and youths went on rampage, looting people along Yirol – Aluakluak highway. Efforts by the government of the state to send a force proved futile as heavily armed youths threatened the few armed men.

Veteran Youth leader who refused his names to be mentioned said that it is now the third to fight again since 2008, now years down the line.
The Government of Gen. Makur Kulang security efforts are not enough to curbed the violence’s given the raging communal fights all over the states.
