Thousands displaced by floods in Kuiphow in Ayod County of Jonglei State.

Thousands of people have been displaced and some hundreds homes destroyed by heavy flood waters in Kuiphow of Ayod County of Jonglei state’s and also appeal for help from the world wishers and government to intervene.

Some schools and primary health care units in kuiphow were also reportedly destroyed

following three consecutive days of heavy rain from last month until October .

According to sources told Thejubamirror women in the area are trying to make traditional dykes so that water cannot affect and can also allowed them to have access to themselves.

Madam Nyanhial Chuol described the current situation in the area as a disaster. As she continued saying no food or shelters for elderly and children in Kuiphow area of Ayod.

“People are displaced to higher places in the area. Houses fell and more will collapse in water. You rarely the see the ground, there is water all over,” he told thejubamirror on Thursday

Kuiphow residents are living in fear water born diseases because most of them spending nights on water shed as mosquitoes biting them.
