AluakLuak Yirol West County Lakes state.) Some of the recovered cows have been handover to rightful owners at Atiaba payam of Rumbek East by Head of peacefull disarmament committee Dr Hakim Makuer and his teams.

The cows were surrendered by families of the suspected criminals who are being trailed by the security team.

South Sudan Police and SSPDF are hunting down seven suspects believed to have driven the cattle from the neighbouring county.

The Security forces and disarmament committee led by Dr Hakim Makuer Deputised by Hon Marial Amuom and Daniel Buoi Mayek in Yirol WEST and Rumbek East have recovered raided Cattle and handed back to the owners.

The recovery cows brings the total number of 114 recovered cows since the incident happened . The 114 herd of cattle had been stolen from cattle camp of Rumbek East last weeks.

The Head of disarmament committee said the cows, which are part of the 140 stolen from Rumbek East were surrendered by the families of the suspected criminals who are being trailed by the security team.

“The security team, through mediation efforts by disarmament committee recovered 114 cows at sub-payam of ALUAK-LUAK which are part of the 140 stolen cows in Rumbek East last week.

During the handover of stolen cows at the county Headquarters, the chairperson for disarmament committee in Rumbek East and Yirol west said they are hunting down seven suspects believed to have driven the cattle from the neighbouring county.

Recovery efforts are ongoing to establish whether there are more animals hidden in our area. The Recovery of stolen cows is milestone credits to Governor Makur Kulang Liei for making unknown Cattle raiders to be known.

The State government administration team has, in collaboration with local elders, rolled out a sensitisation drive targeting morans who are believed to be involved in cattle rustling.

The security teams and disarmament committee recently resolved to work together towards eradicating Guns and cattle rustling which continues to be a thorn in the flesh among communities.

Among the ways the counties neighbouring each other have been partnering in the fight to contain the vice is through fast dissemination of information for immediate action.
