SSUF/A MEMBER RESIGNED AND DEFECTS TO THE GOVERNMENT
Lt. Col. Malith James Maker, one of SSUF/A top powerful and well trained officers abandoned SSUF/A barely after four days of Deng Chapath defections to the government of South Sudan.
The statement extended Thejubamirror news desk read, I would like to take this opportunity to present my resignation letter and I cease to be a member of SSUF/A under the leadership of Gen. Paul Malong Awan with immediate effect on 31st January 2022.
This bold decision came as a result of continues self-realization and the need of one having to review personal decision and more importantly the need for us to have a peaceful and prosperous South Sudan free from unnecessary internal wars that a sole cause for National crisis, under-deployment characterized by series of economic retardation and lack of focus for national unity.
As a young and an energetic military officer, progressive, nationalistic and above all, my career in the military and intelligence service I was rendering must not disappear through an association/mentorship with rebel leader. But instead, I realized I had made a silly mistake of defecting from the National Security service under wise leadership of General Akol Koor Kuc alongside his competent subordinating generals, some of whom had a capacity to build, nurture and instill a spirit of nationalism in me. I wish I knew, I would not made an inch from my mother unit and especially my unquestionable loyalty to the leadership of Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan. I will continue to serve my mother political party, SPLM and in particular my strategic national duty of having to defend my Country and her constitution.
