Sporadic Gunfire intensifies in WES amid Claims of Solving Crisis.

Reports reaching office of Gen Eng Kisanga speak of continued crisis Iin Western Equatoria State counties of Tambura and Yambio . Heavy gunfire engulfed Tambura yesterday from morning to evening and even the hospital in Tambura is rumoured to have been torched in the gunfire exchange in the town.
The defection of Hon Gov Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro to the SPLM seems not to cool the situation but is like it is adding more fuel. This despite the visit to Tambura by so called leaders of Tambura and WES which included Hon Bakorsoro and Jemma Nunu Kumba, a week before.
In Yambio all the residents especially the notables are living in great fear and most go to sleep in different locations every night. Yesterday Health Minister of WES current Government who is from Tambura IO had his house under gunfire and he fled while his body guard was gunned down. Further warning to other senior people like the Doctor at Yambio hospital that they would be killed has many people running away from YAMBIO. The doctor in Yambio had earlier fled to Juba because of the threat to his life which he received even in written form . The hospital in Yambio is almost closed with no soul to be found around as people scarred to be the next target since the doctor cannot be spared. A previous surgeon in Yambio was also shot dead sometime back.
In the meantime civilians are bearing the brunt with hundreds of houses torched in Tambura and adjacent counties and hundreds of displaced with no food and services. Some are already crossing yo DRC and CAR while in Juba it is just business as usual.

It is time we tell the truth to the world that forget the dressings in Juba there is really collapse of peace and the peace process in Western Equstoria and if not addressed quickly could engulf the whole nation. Today UNMISS has sent personnel to Tambura to try to assess the destruction and ongoing sporadic fighting there. More details to come as I prepare also to go to WES. It is time really sons and daughters of WES who can help change the situation come forward rather than those seeking personal gains.

Copied from the wall of Charles Kisanga.
