South Sudan Anti-Corruption Forum reveals 35 names of relatives of Nilepet Managing Director

In an open Letter to President Salva Kiir Mayardit, the South Sudan Anti-Corruption Forum, which has been vocal on corruption and nepotism in Nilepet, has revealed at least 35 names of alleged employees of the Nilepet who are believed to be relatives of the current Managing Director, Bol Ring Muorwel.

The letter, tittled “An Updated List of the Relatives of Nile Petroleum Corporation Company Limited ( Nilepet) Managing Director Bol Ring Muorwel, whom he recently recruited into state oil firm”, accuses the Managing Director Bol Ring Muorwel of employing relatives to practice corruption and financial embezzlement, claims Nyamilepedia could not immediately verify.

“The leadership of South Sudan Anti Corruption Forum is grateful to submit into your esteemed office, the names of the relatives to Nilepet M.D Bol Ring whom he ( Bol) employed in the Nilepet.” The letter reads in part.

“This list serves as an evident for the turning of our national company into a clan enterprise by the Managing Director Eng. Bol Ring Muorwel.” The letter continued.

According to the letter, “the leadership of South Sudan Anti Corruption Forum regrets the suffering and economic sanction imposed on the families of innocent South Sudanese whose sons and daughters were innocently removed from various assignments in Nilepet and other oil companies by Bol Ring Muorwel and replaced them with his own blood relatives as attached below.”

The South Sudan Anti-Corruption Forum condemns the practice of nepotism and corruption in the strongest terms possible and calls on the government to investigate and fire the culprits with immediate effect.

“The turning of Nile Petroleum Corporation Company Limited from national company into family company ( Padhieu pet) by the managing director Managing Bol Ring is a crime that can sentence him to life imprisonment.” They said

The letter, which was extended to Nyamilepedia and addressed to the office of the president, submits the following names which are believe to be relatives or loved ones of the Managing Director.

“The list below contains the full names, the grades and how each is related to the Nilepet managing director Eng. Bol Ring Muorwel.” Read part of the letter.
