JUBA, 18th October 2022(Office of the President)- His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Tuesday paid tribute to Lt. Gen. Alfred Akwoch Omoli, former Minister of Wildlife Conservation and Tourism, following his passing in Uganda last week due to cardiac Arrest after a long illness
Addressing the mourners at Medan Simba cemetery in Giada, President Kiir encouraged the family, friends and the Collo Community eulogising the late as a great liberator, Statesman who contributed tremendously towards the liberation struggle of the Country.
In his message of comfort, President Salva urges the people of Upper Nile to forgive one another over the damages caused by the recent conflicts in order for peace to prevail in Upper Nile and nation at large.
Reminiscing their historical time during the liberation struggle, the President described the Late Akwoch as a true brother and nationalist.
“When we were in the bush with Alfred Akwoch, we stayed together and we used to share the little we could get. All the children and grandchildren of Alfred Akwoch must count on us, any time you should knock on our doors, and we will be there for you”.
