One killed and other injured after Rowdy youths clash with police in Juba. South Sudan

A shoot out at Kubur Aboba has left a hawker dead and other young man injured this afternoon.

According to an eyewitness account, the shootout started when a Juba City Council police tried to forcefully detain a hawker’s wheelbarrow of goods.

“The Juba City Council police came and they wanted to collect tax and the hawker refused to pay and that caused some drama leading to the police officer opening fire and instantly killing this young hawker and injuring other young man,” eyewitness said.

The drama caused fear promoting shopkeepers in the area to close shops.

Juba City Council couldn’t answer our call during the publication of this post.
