NSS intimidates, detains SSBC Radio News Anchor
The South Sudan National Security Service on Saturday led SSBC Radio English News Anchor, Alfred Angasi Dominic “on gun point” and detained him at the Blue House for a night because “he didn’t want to read news the way they (the NSS officers) wanted.”
According to reliable reports received by Hot in Juba, the journalist was not hurt, but is expected to report to the NSS headquarters on Monday for further questioning.
His arrest is just one of many cases of intimidation of journalists across the country
.The South Sudan Union of Journalists, SSBC Management and other media institutions are yet to comment on the matter.
