NAIROBI – South Sudan’s former army chief and leader of South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUF/A) General Paul Malong Awan Anei has appointed the SSUF/A youth league’s first leader, according to an order extended to Sudans Post.

In the order issued this afternoon, Malong who is also a member of the leadership council of the holdout opposition consortium, South Sudan Opposition Movements Alliance (SSOMA), appointed Makoi Majak Luk as the chair of the SSUF/A youth league.

“By the authority vested in me as Chairman and Commander in Chief, South Sudan United Front/Army, by the first sitting of the leadership and command council and as part of SSUF/A’s effort to continue its activities and affirm its message to all our supporters at home and in the diaspora, I Gen. Paul Malong Awan, Chairman and Commander in Chief, South Sudan United Front/Army, hereby order the … appointment of Cde. Makoi Majak Luk as South Sudan United Front/Army’s Youth League Chairperson,” Malong said.

According to the order, the tasks of the youth leader would include coordination between the youth and the SSUF/A leadership, mobilize youth, among others.

The order added that the directive “shall come to force from the date of its signature
