“LET FREEDOM NEVER PERISH IN YOUR HANDS”

A MESSAGE TO SOUTH SUDAN LEADERS ON THE SPLA DAY DURING THE ,38TH ANNIVERSARY ON MAY 16, 2021,
The SPLA Day which is celebrated on May 16 every year was the Day when South Sudanese from all walks of life decided to face deaths without fear. They treked across terrains and deserst between South Sudan and Ethiopia while braving unbearable cold and heat exposed to all kinds of perils of different savages, wild animals and wild human beings that did not know that the same people they were attacking and killing or ambushing with the intention to kill them who were helplessly were there for their own sake and for the sake of their posterity. It is the day all South Sudanese communities decided to give unconditional support for the struggle. In the end of the day, more than two million South Sudanese and Sudanese perished. The reason for them perishing was to get the country and to make sure that their families could lead a good life of an independent Nation and the people. The SPLA members who directly confronted the Sudan Army hoped that the country would pay them back by taking care of their families even if they might die in the struggle.. But after 38 years down the road, the members of the SPLA whether they are still alive or not and their families are still leading the most miserable lives, worse than the lives they led during the Liberation struggle between 1983 and 2005. The SPLA members between 1983 and 2005 are not even remembered and are still leading conditions that are unbearable with the leadership immune to their sufferings. Their families are leading lives worse than lives of dogs. The families of those service men and women who dedicated their whole Youthhood to the Liberation are leading the lives of beggars . The families of the living soldiers spend several days without food and water. The real Patriots in uniform have decided to turn against the forests where they cut down every strong tree for charcoal to survive while some among them are being used as slaves defending the power without benefits. We have seen those who are in top leadership tactically discarding the SPLA Day in favor of Islam in which the Islam is more Celebrated than the National Day called the 16th May, which is the most sacred Day in South Sudan but it s ignored. My message to the top leaders is that “Let freedom never perish in your hands.”
