H.E PRESIDENT KIIR LEFT TO KAMPALA TO ATTEND REGIONAL INTER-MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE

His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Thursday left Juba for Kampala to attend
regional Inter-Ministerial conference, on Migration, Environment and Climate change.

Speaking to the media at Juba International Airport upon departure, the Press Secretary in the Office of the President Hon. Ateny Wek Ateny said the regional leaders will also discuss and adopt one stand on Nile River dredging, which will be presented at the 27th UN Climate Change conference that will be held in Sharm-el-Sheik, Egypt, from 6 to 18 November 2022.

The President is expected to hold sideline meeting with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, one of the guarantors of the Revitalized Peace Agreement to discuss the proposed roadmap that will pave way for transitional period.

The President was accompanied by high level delegation that comprise of, the Minister of Presidential Affairs Hon. Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin, Minister of Cabinet Affairs Hon. Dr. Martin Elia Lomoro and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation Hon. Mayiik Ayii Deng, Minister of Interior Hon. Mahmoud Solomon Agok and the Minister of Environment and Forestry Hon. Josephine Napwon.

Upon his arrival at Entebbe International Airport, the President was received by the Ugandan Minister of Foreign Affairs Okello Oryem and other Government officials.
