Convict of Rock City homicide hanged to death

The convict who was sentenced to death following the murder of three children in the Rock City residential area in Juba has been hanged to death Friday afternoon.

Police Spokesperson Maj. Gen. Daniel Justin confirmed to The City Review that Babu Emmanuel Lokiri was hanged on Friday.

Justin who could not give detailed information due to authorization reasons said arrangements were underway with the prison authorities to hand the body to the family.

Emmanuel was sentenced to death by the High Court in October after he was found guilty of murdering three children in the aforementioned residential area in the South Sudanese capital.
