A peace meeting was held on 16th and 17th March 2023 between communities of greater Tonj of Warrap State IN Plam Africa Hotel. Among the key highlights by the participants and agreed upon during this meeting that would contribute to peace and end conflict among the communities of greater Tonj of Warrap State were as follows .Trust building among communities, Improvement of Security in some parts of Greater Tonj
Gaps from the previous work on peace initiative (peace conference); Insufficient implementation of proposed framework (resolutions) . Lack of proper comprehensive Lack of well-trained local government .
This Peace Conference is organized by Kong Koc consortium in partnership with TOCH South Sudan, UNMISS, UNDP, WFP, ADRA and Peace Canal. The event was designed to last for 2 days from 16th March to 17th March 2023. The Kong Koc consortium arranged groups discussion to identify what has been done and what has not been achieved in line with the previously proposed items for action or implementation.

This is the first time the people of Greater Tonj had a call for a feeling of genuine peace in detail with their united voice by ensuring all the proposed things pertaining peace should be implemented without delay or sabotage.
