Breaking News Heavy fighting hits Maganise this morning
Heavy fighting hits border town with Sudan as SPLA-IO forces under General Gatwech say they are attacked this morning around 5:00AM by Riek Machar’s group. SPLA-IO spokesman Brigadier General William Gatjiath says they will prevent the fall of Maganise.
“The Magenis town and its surrounding have been under attack since 5:Am by Riek Machar forces and the fighting still continue”, William Gatjiath said.
The assault, which is forcing some South Sudanese civilians to flee the town, has left SPLA-IO Kigwang forces under Simon Gatwech scrambling to repel the Machar’s forces advance into the heart of Magenis
. No details about the casualties as fighting still ongoing now.
