Another humanitarian worker killed in Unity State
A humanitarian worker working for International Rescue Committee (IRC)has been killed yesterday at Ganyiel Payam in Unity State barely days after a humanitarian worker was killed in Eastern Equatoria.
According to a source in the state, the humanitarian worker, Dr. Louis was working at Ganyiel PHCC providing health services to woman and children in the payam.
“The deceased was our colleague providing health services to mothers and children at Ganyiel PHCC Center,” the source disclosed that Hot in Juba.
It’s alleged that the deceased was dragged from the medical center by unknown young men who later killed him in cold blood.
UN has in the past named South Sudan among the most dangerous places for humanitarian workers to operate in.
