Cairo, Oct. 28, 2023 — The Arab Republic of Egypt has expressed deep concern over the escalating situation in Sudan and urged for an immediate ceasefire to protect civilians and restore stability.

In a press release issued on Saturday, Egypt called for all possible measures to end the fighting and ensure the safety of Sudanese citizens, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the country’s capabilities and easing the humanitarian situation.

Cairo reaffirmed its unwavering support for Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, stressing the need to preserve national institutions and reject any attempts to divide or destabilize the country.

Egypt pledged to continue standing by Sudan during its ongoing crisis, promoting peace and regional security.
