Dr. Majak Agoot Atem, a respected South Sudanese statesman and former member of the SPLM-G10, must now make a clear and decisive choice, by either return to active government service, such as military command role and respectfully withdraw from political involvement in Twic East domestic affairs, a proud and principled subsection of the Jieng (Dinka) tribe in South Sudan.
If he no longer holds military rank, has no national political office assignment, then he should consider returning to his roots by joining his local Alok community chieftaincy, one of Twic East’s 17 sections and contributing meaningfully through the Twic East Chiefs’ platform, where traditional wisdom, cultural values, and community trust are respected.
Moreover, Let it be plainly stated that, Dr. Majak Agoot Atem is not the King of Twic East, nor is he the supreme leader of the Twi Dinka. The recent Twic East elections, held in Rochester, Minnesota, U.S., have revealed the true state of our politics and Dr. Majak’s mask has finally slipped. Twic East is waking up, and that awakening is long overdue. Our people are now clearly seeing through years of betrayals, distractions, incitements, and manipulations that have kept us divided.
This message is not for Dr. Majak alone, but It is a broader call to all Twic East politicians, direct to those who have prioritized personal ambition over community service and safety. To the an individual Twic East community power hungry, the puppets, the TEC value and integrity compromisers, and self-serving opportunists that, the time of unchecked manipulation and power control is over. The rigging of community-based elections to install unqualified individuals is damaging our unity, wasting resources, suppressing democratic values, and weakening the solidarity of our 17 sections.
To Dr. Majak and others from Twic East currently serving in the South Sudanese government, the time for reflection and realignment is now. Propping up incompetent individuals with no vision, simply to use them helps individuals advancing their narrow political agendas is not leadership, but purely, it is betrayal.
Let me be absolutely clear, if provoked further, then I will not remain silent. Dr. Majak’s interference in TEC local community affairs threatens to throw our people into political anarchy and confusion. I have the voice, the platform, and the truth to speak openly and I will, if necessary. An explosive speech may be what it takes to reveal what others have tried to conceal. I am prepared to spill the beans but I still believe in a better path, one based on peace, reconciliation, accountability, and integrity-driven leadership.
Dr. Majak, I still hold respect for you, still but you step back a littles bite. I am even willing to offer you the space to step back gracefully from Twic East’s local politics because your current involvement is not helping the situation specially with last night TECA -U.S got you exposed. It is making things worse for us Twi Dinka citizens and globally. Beside, Let me emphasize , I have no personal grudge against you and nor can I condone someone wrongfully accusing you like many online propagandists does. In fact, when many turned against you in the past and still now, I defended your name, even at personal risk. I stood up for you in global forums because I believed in your integrity and character. I do not regret doing so.
But today, I can no longer justify silence through blind loyalty toward your negative energy of working to reactive Twic East sub-regional power wrangling between Lith and Roor blocs. I knew all this time and I just don’t want fellow Twic East citizens to know.
If you feel defeated politically, I would advise you to retire with the dignity that still remains. That would be more honorable than continuing to interfere in community matters without solutions to offer. Your recent visit to the Twic East community in the U.S. did more harm than healing, especially among the global Twic East diaspora. Your aides your “homeboys” were unleashed upon the community and played a disruptive role in the recent elections. Out of principle, I left the hall before you spoke. Your words were poorly timed, insincere, and unhelpful.
Even more concerning was the conduct of your former aides:
• Mr. Atem Deng Angoh, who once served your late mother, and
• Mr. Dut Mabior Ajang, once an aide to your second wife.
Watching them strut behind you as if managing a U.S. presidential campaign was not leadership it was arrogant political theater.
And yes, I now strongly suspect your involvement in tampering with the Twic East Community-Based Association elections in Rochester. I am gathering evidence. You preemptively contacted all four candidates two days before the election urging peace, likely anticipating backlash for what your circle had already orchestrated. We see through it. So will not be silenced.Let us not play games with the people’s trust. Twic East deserves better. Our future depends on humility, fairness, and people first leadership not manipulative tactics carried out behind closed doors.
This is not a declaration of confrontation. This is a final call for reflection an opportunity to change course before more damage is done. We must protect the dignity, unity, and legacy of Twic East for future generations.Let us not forget: during the December 2013 crisis, many of Twic East’s most educated, alongside innocent women and children, were brutally massacred by government forces. While you were imprisoned in the Blue House amid massacres across South Sudan, it was the Twic East community youth, elders, and activists who protested globally, petitioned world and South Sudanese leaders, and demanded your release. We carried your name on our backs and you should respect Twic East by not associating yourself with wrong elements in the name of them being your former associates.
But when you rose again, you did not empower your people you groomed allies and ignored those who stood by you. That contradiction is painful and it cannot be ignored. It’s worse, during the last night TECA Rochester, Minnesota, U.S elections, a threat was made against me by one of Ahechbags jerk and he is an individuals connected to your former Home caregivers and never condemns it. I was prior threatened with violence a gun threat on live video and the perpetrator said, he will shoot at me amid voters during the TECA election process and you said nothing. Instead, you called candidates days before the election to appear conciliatory knowing what had already been done.
An Open Message to Dr. Majak Agoot and TE Political Leadership
Are you serious, Dr. Majak? Do you truly believe we do not see what is happening? I am calling loud and clear for the separation of community affairs from political agendas. The people of Twic East deserve leadership that prioritizes their lives, safety, and dignity above political gain or foreign ballot counts.
Dr. Majak Agoot and other Twic East politicians, if you truly represent our people and care about us, then why have you remained silent while J-1 operatives continue to kill and intimidate? Why have you not spoken out about the unjust detention of IM officer Abuoi Atem, famously known as Abuja, who remains locked up in the Blue House in Juba without due process?
To Dr. Majak Agoot and Twic East Political Leadership: Where is Your Integrity? When you were detained at the Blue House, we the people stood up for you. We risked everything, even our safety, to call for your release. We raised our voices to the world. We sought help from powerful figures like UN, IGAD , AU and many Human rights legal bodies because we believed in you. We believed you were a son of Twic East who deserved freedom and justice and today you have the audacity to attending an eevent that Twic East citizen’s life was threatened and you went silent.
Now look at what is happening. Today, IM officer Abuoi Atem , (Aka.Abuja) is sitting while getting rotten in the same Blue House, detained without justice and your Boss SKM can listen to you and get him release, but you just don’t want to helps and why get got unlawful arrested m? It’s simply Because of a speech he gave at the Twic East Community Conference years ago and a conference organized by you and your colleagues. After the event, instead of protecting him, you left him behind. You sacrificed him. You moved on, celebrating and enjoying yourselves, while he was left to suffer the consequences.
If you truly represent Twic East on the global stage, where is your voice now? Why this silence? Why this abandonment?
In addition to that, Justice is not selective. You cannot demand support when it is you in chains, and then turn your back when another son of Twic East is taken. We are watching. The community is watching. What happened to Abuja is wrong and your silence is even worse. Why is it that you show more concern over how ballots are cast in America than about the safety and survival of Twic East citizens back home? Why have our people been left to dance before their oppressors, stripped of dignity, justice, and protection?
This is unacceptable, this is a pro max nonsense and it must stop. The Twic East Community is watching. We demand accountability not silence. We demand action not excuses. Twic East is not blind. And we are no longer silent. It is time to return to the values that truly matter:
Humility. Transparency. People-centered leadership.
With sincerity and commitment,
HRH. Yom Deng-Katoch Bul
