JUBA, South Sudan (June 11, 2025) — The Office of the Governor of Central Equatoria State has dismissed as false and politically motivated recent allegations that Gov. Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani is involved in a plot to relocate the state capital from Juba to Yei River County to facilitate land grabbing and displacement of indigenous communities.
In a statement released to Thejubamirror News Desk, the governor’s office expressed deep concern over the claims circulating on various media platforms, describing them as “false and inflammatory.”
“At no point has the governor been involved in any engagement to relocate the state capital,” the statement read. “He has not sanctioned or endorsed any such plan, nor has he been complicit in any scheme to alter the status of Juba for ulterior motives.”
The office emphasized that Jadalla remains committed to constitutional principles, peace, service delivery, and inclusive governance. The statement urged the public, stakeholders, and media to reject what it called fear mongering and instead focus on verified facts.
“The governor continues to serve with integrity and remains dedicated to preserving unity and stability across the state,” the statement concluded.
