The enemies of Activist Michael Wetnhialic, largely from Tonj North and Gogrial, have colluded to persuade the officials in the presidential office to detain Michael on allegations that he is the proprietor of a fake Facebook account named Emanuel Monymoor, which has been attacking prominent politicians in the government.
He was kidnapped by the National Security, Special Forces branch yesterday at approximately 7:40 PM in Thongpiiny and taken to the Riverside detention center, where he was subjected to torture and subsequently transferred to the Blue House for further detention.
The information we gathered from one of the officers involved in the Riverside detention indicates that Michael Wetnhialic was falsely accused of recent articles attributed to anonymous individuals claiming to be Emanuel Monymoor, which accused President Salva Kiir Mayardit of plotting to assassinate First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny, utilizing the recently promoted National Security officers to carried out the task.
The truth is that this article, alleged to have been authored by Emanuel Monymoor, was not even posted on Emanuel Monymoor’s timeline but rather it have been widely shared by Michael’s adversaries in a WhatsApp group and on various anonymous social media platforms few days ago.
Moreover, Emanuel Monymoor, whom they allege Michael Wetnhialic to be, issued a statement yesterday following Michael’s arrest, asserting that he has no connection with Michael Wetnhialic and that the National Security is targeting the wrong individual. The big question is, how would Michael Wetnhialic get time to write something on Facebook when he is already in the custody of National Security Service, this a proof that Michael Wetnhialic is wrongly arrested.
According to information from Riverside, Michael was also accused of serving as an agent for the U. S. government; during the harsh interrogation upon his arrival, the officers who detained Michael questioned him about his ties to the American embassy, suggesting that Michael Wetnhialic frequently makes phone calls with certain prominent government officials and records these conversations for espionage purposes, also, this was not backed up with sufficient evidence.
After the interrogation and torture at Riverside, the Special Forces of the National Security Service, which operates under the command of one of President Salva Kiir Mayardit’s sons, were instructed to take Michael to the Blue House, where he would await his fate.
Many individuals were curious about who was responsible for Michael Wetnhialic’s disappearance yesterday, especially since General Akol Koor Kuch, the former Director General of the National Security Service, who was known for arresting Michael, is no longer overseeing Blue House. It is now fully confirmed that Michael Wetnhialic is being wrongfully implicated and wrongly detained in the Blue House by the National Security Service.
Nonetheless, the most pressing question that remains in people’s minds is why Activist Michael Wetnhialic would be detained by the same government he has been supporting on social media continuously.
Michael Wetnhialic is a staunch supporter of President Salva Kiir Mayardit, his family and his administration. He was recently observed on social media in a confrontation with Garang John, the former SSBC journalist who has become a prominent critic of President Kiir Mayardit and his family.
Michael Wetnhialic appeared to be a protector of President Salva Kiir Mayardit and his family regarding the situation with Garang John but arresting him is a big blow not only to Michael but the Kiir government whom he keep defending every now and then.
