The Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Hon Bec George Anyak and his accompanying delegation has attended the 23rd meeting of the Horn of Africa Initiatives (HoAI) held in Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
The high-level forum for the regional Ministers of Finance was chaired by Ethiopian Minister of Finance, Hon. Ahmed Shide and discussed opportunities for the member states to exploit the benefits that emerge through HoAI activities.
In his address at the forum, Hon. Bec stressed the importance of effective utilization of the available HoAI funds to maximize the impacts and foster sustainable developments across the region.
He also highlighted the significant potential for the infrastructural development, hinting at the economic impact of the road networks connecting Ethiopia and South Sudan, which can enhance regional connectivity and subsequent economic growth.
