The Charlotte Technical and Vocational Training Institute celebrated a milestone today as it marked its fourth graduation ceremony, with over ten students completing their studies in Clinical Nutrition. The event, held at the institute’s premises, was a moment of pride for the graduates, their families, and the school’s administration.
Hon. Grace Apollo, who graced the occasion, commended the management for their dedication to empowering young minds. In her address, she encouraged the graduates to face their professional journeys with courage and resilience.
“You have been equipped with the knowledge and skills to make a difference. Do not fear the challenges ahead; instead, use them as opportunities to grow and contribute to society,” she urged the graduates.
Hon. Grace also emphasized the urgent need for increased investment in the institution to ensure the delivery of quality education.
“For this institute to grow and deliver even better, there’s a need to increment tuition fees. This will support infrastructure development and the overall improvement of education standards,” she stated.
In a promising development, Hon. Grace announced that a portion of land within Nakpangau Primary School would be allocated to the institute. This land will enable the construction of new facilities, expanding the institute’s capacity to serve not only Yambio but the entire Western Equatoria region.
“This institute has the potential to transform lives far beyond Yambio. We must all rally behind it to ensure it becomes a hub of excellence for the entire state,” she affirmed.
Charlotte Technical and Vocational Training Institute offers diverse courses, including Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), Clinical Nutrition, and English language training. As Hon. Grace reiterated in her closing remarks, the institute holds immense promise for the region’s future.
“Let us not just talk about development—let us be the drivers of it. This institute is a beacon of hope, and I stand firm in raising my voice for its progress,” she concluded.
The event ended with applause for the graduates and a renewed commitment from the community to support the institute’s growth.
