JUBA, Monday, Dec. 2, 2024—President Salva Kiir Mayardit emphasized his administration’s dedication to fulfilling its responsibilities to citizens while addressing the closing session of the 8th Governors’ Forum at Freedom Hall in Juba, Monday.
Kiir underscored the importance of collaboration between national and state governments to effectively implement the forum’s resolutions. He urged state leaders and administrative areas to identify innovative ways to increase local revenue, ensuring efficient government operations and improved service delivery.
The president highlighted ongoing discussions with Sudanese counterparts aimed at enabling oil engineers to access critical facilities and restoring the smooth flow of oil to international markets. This, he said, is part of a broader strategy to stabilize the economy and maximize petroleum resources.
Kiir reiterated his administration’s commitment to fostering internal stability and economic resilience, focusing on resource-driven development to benefit the people of South Sudan.
