Keen observers have noticed change in the Kiir administration. A positive one. In the past few years, President Salva Kiir has been empowering educated youth, putting them in key positions.
Think about finance ministry, central bank, National Bureau of Statistics, National Bureau of Standards, NRA, Nilepet, NCA, Gateway, Media Authority,
However, some individuals in the government have chosen to stab President Salva Kiir both in the chest and back, thanks to their thanklessness and contempt.
Could they be agents of governmental change—the replacement of individual leaders or political parties?
They have cultivated their gardens of regime change, which Kiir unintentionally irrigates by prolonging their dismissal processes.
For example, is NCA Director Napoleon Adok a technocrat or political activist?
“There are more than 200 V8s parked outside. Half of those V8s can build a fiber optic from here to Malakal and Wau. Half of those V8s can actually implement the broadcasting of television to be received in Raja or Nyamlel. We are not serious,” he said during the National Economic Forum in Juba, Thursday, November 7, 2023.
Adok, a man in a crucial position, has a clear plan: to mobilize citizens against the government. Why would a civil servant openly oppose the government? Isn’t it because he has ulterior motives?
Records show that he has a fleet of Toyota Landcruiser V8s, some of which are bulletproof. In February 2024, Adok announced:
“I can tell you for a fact that…the telecom sector collectively is contributing close to 5 billion SSP every month. So, we are paying half of your salaries to the government. So, there’s a lot of money going to the government.”
Is this political activism, open rebellion, or both? Doesn’t the Penal Code Act 2008 describe such a behavior as “causing disaffection among the police force or defense forces”?
Article 74 reads:
“Whoever induces, or attempts to induce, or does any act with the intention or realizing that there is a real risk or possibility of inducing or causing any member of the Police Force or Defense Forces to withhold his or her services, loyalty, or allegiance or to commit breaches of discipline, commits an offense, and upon conviction, shall be sentenced to imprisonment for a period not exceeding two years or with a fine or with both.”
Why did Adok construct an airfield at Anuol in his home county, Yirol West? And a pilot-friend of mine, who has been lately insulting me under my posts, frequently flies Adok to the area with an Adok-chartered or Adok-owned caravan.
And every time he gets to the country, villagers say Adok switches off the Adok-built mobile network there. Why is a mere director of a public institution so presidential? What does he intend to do with the airfield? What is man preparing for? – An escape plan just in case things go south in Juba?
Do you remember his brother-in-crime, Gen. Akol Koor, built a similar airfield in Tonj sometimes ago? What else is Adok preparing for? Shouldn’t the Ministry of National Security be worried?
In addition, Adok is said to have been threatening President Kiir with a shocking exposé of his daughter’s business deals if dismissed. Who cares? Who doesn’t know about Crawford or the daughter’s business deals? We need a working system , a working tourism sector, banking, industries, angriculture and all sectors of economy that need to grow to boost our country economy.
This falls under the criminal category of blackmail. And that means Adok is ripe for blue-housing. Shouldn’t Kiir be advised to politically circumcise Adok and have him blue-housed immediately?
