jJUBA, South Sudan, Sept. 16, 2024 — Mr. Bush Akech Chol, the National Secretary for Political Affairs and Mobilization of the South Sudan United Front-Progressive (SSUF/P), has officially announced his resignation from both his position and the party. Bush Akech conveyed his decision in a letter addressed to Dr. Emmanuel Sunday de John, the Chairman of SSUF/P, expressing deep appreciation for the leadership and mentorship he received during his tenure.
In his resignation letter, Bush Akech Chol highlighted the invaluable political wisdom and guidance he gained under the Chairman’s stewardship over the past four years. He commended the SSUF/P’s leadership for its dedication to improving the lives of the South Sudanese people and wished his colleagues continued success in their political struggle.
“We shall still be knitted together by political developments in our country in the near future,” Bush Akech noted in his letter, expressing hope for future collaboration. He encouraged his fellow party members to persist in their efforts for comprehensive political change in South Sudan.
