The Governor of Warrap State, Col. Kuol Muor Muor, has issued a statement obtained by ThejubaMirror announcing the suspension of the Twic Mayardit community elections in Juba. The governor has informed the National Security Service, ISB political division, and police operations of this decision.
The statement, addressed to Brig. Gen. Dominic Deng, reads as follows: “Regarding the aforementioned subject, H.E. Col. Kuol Muor Muor has directed the coordination office to suspend the Twic Mayardit community elections in Juba to allow for further progress in the election process. In light of these circumstances, the coordination office kindly requests the NSS ISB political division and police operations to enforce a curfew to regulate any gatherings of Twic Mayardit members. Your continued cooperation is greatly appreciated.”
