BEIJING, Friday, Sept. 6, 2024 — President Salva Kiir met with Chinese President Xi Jinping to strengthen bilateral relations between South Sudan and China. The meeting focused on elevating their relationship to a “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.”
Both leaders emphasized the importance of implementing action plans discussed earlier, aiming to enhance cooperation in infrastructure, trade, healthcare, and other critical sectors. These initiatives are expected to contribute significantly to South Sudan’s economic development and stability.
President Kiir expressed his country’s commitment to working closely with China to achieve the objectives of the partnership, which were outlined during the recently concluded summit. The collaboration is anticipated to bring substantial benefits to South Sudan’s growth and development.
