JUBA – About eight  senior government officials who recently joined the ruling SPLM in 2023 hit back on two of their former members who decided to return whether to Nairobi after government gave them deaf ears in Juba high expectations on government positions.
“It is very unfortunate that, we the members of the defunct SSUF/A-Nairobi Declaration have learnt with dismay the allegations falsely made public by an individual called Dickson Gatluak Jock against the government of South Sudan, predominantly the leadership of the Internal Security Bureau (ISB-NSS).” Reads the statement. Gen. Paul Malong’s former allies in the statement obtained by Thejubamirror outline numerous points, denying claims by Dickson Gatluak on South Sudan government particularly the National Security Institution. “Following our pulling out from Gen. Paul Malong Awan’s led-SSUF/A on 28/Jan/2023 in Nairobi, Kenya, the main objective of our declaration was for us to join SPLM under the leadership of H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit, and of course, this is what brought us to Juba eventually on 12th June, 2023.” “To be frank, none of us experienced any passport confiscation by National Security Service since we arrived in Juba on 12/June/2023 as he purported.”
“His allegations about threats on us by security personnels, holds no ground at all. We are all free to travel to any destination of an individual’s choice, whether domestic or international.” “The two officers he claimed to have been held at Sector 4 on 30/Dec/2023 in Juba, had never happened, but just a cooked up story to fetch the attention of the public.”
“The two persons he mentioned on the floating document, are USA & UK based individuals whom he tricked for financial benefits. These individuals were not part of then defunct SSUF/A-ND.” “We, all the defunct SSUF/A comrades, have remained in Juba and still holding our position as members of the SPLM and rallying behind H.E. the President of the Republic, Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit.” It reads.
The statement signed by eight  members further stresses they were ten (10) in number when they landed in Juba from Nairobi and joined the SPLM in 2023 with an exceptional of 1 member who immediately flew back to USA and now follows by Dickson Gatluak who has just left the country as one person. “It is important to note that the members of SSUF/A -Nairobi Declaration who came to Juba on 12th June, 2023 were ten (10) in number.
All these members joined SPLM last year and we are still in Juba, South Sudan, except Mr. Nhial Dojiok Doap who went back to USA and Mr. Dickson Gatluak Jock who has decided eventually to leave the country as an individual.” They alleged. “The signatures of the members of SSUF/A-ND who have joined SPLM and still in Juba are as follows:” “Brig. Gen. Guol Jial Bikot, Col. William Chakuen Makuach, Col. Philip Deng Kuol Nguot, Capt. James Yien Dak, Cde. Mary Nyadieng Thoan, Cde. Nyaduoth Gatwech Joak, Cde. Deng Gony aka DG, Cde. Nyagoa Tito Biel Chuor.” The statement concludes.
