JUBA — The Governor of Central Equatoria State, H.E. Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani, presided over the swearing-in of Kajo-Keji County Commissioner Hon. David Lisi Christopher at the State Secretariat in Juba, Aug. 14, 2024.
During the ceremony, Governor Jadalla urged the new commissioner to collaborate with security forces and engage with local communities, including chiefs, youth, and women, to tackle challenges in Kajo-Keji County. He emphasized the importance of working as a unifier, focusing on peace and cooperation, rather than party affiliations.
Governor Jadalla also directed Lisi to maintain strong relations with neighboring Ugandan districts and address border issues, insecurity, and the presence of hold-out groups and ambororo herders in the county. The governor assured the commissioner of his full support.
Hon. Aggrey Tisa Sabuni, Chairperson of the Kajo-Keji Community Organization, highlighted the need for peace and collaboration with the state government to resolve the county’s issues. He pledged the community’s support for the commissioner’s efforts.
Hon. Lisi committed to working closely with all stakeholders in Kajo-Keji, stressing the critical situation in the county and the necessity of collective effort to bring stability and unity. “I will be proud if my people come together to defeat the enemy,” Lisi stated.
