The South Sudan National Police Service (SSNPS) has reported the arrest of a Ugandan national for selling dog meat to local residents.
According to sources, the foreigner was apprehended on Thursday morning after locals in Juba reported the incident to the authorities.
Investigations are currently underway, and the suspect will soon be brought before a court of law. The public is urged to remain calm.
“We would like to inform you that the police force has arrested a Ugandan national who has been involved in selling meat for a significant period of time. He has been operating a meat shop for five years, although it is unclear when he began selling dog meat,” said Justin.
“We would like to appeal to our citizens to stay calm. The police department’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is actively working on this case, and the suspect will soon be taken to court to face justice.”
