The National Security Service has apprehended three suspected criminals in possession of two money counterfeiting machines, more than 100 fake US Dollar bundles and South Sudanese pounds in Western Equatoria state.
The security surveillance team which travelled from Juba to Yambio, has emphasised that the suspects, who are key administrators in the office of governor, Alfred Futuyo Karaba, are being brought to Juba for further investigation to facilitate possible measures against criminal rings in the state.
In a media briefing, the acting Director of Public relations at the National security Internal Bureau, George Luate, has condemned this criminal activity, assuring Bureau’s commitment to intensify surveillance efforts to break illegal operations across the state.
