Torit – May 30th, 2024. The SPLM Eastern Equatoria State Secretariat and general membership is shocked and deeply saddened by the 29th May 2024 barbaric incident of Ngarera Lohipor Boma, Homiri Payam of Budi County where the vehicle carrying the President’s Endorsement delegates of Budi county back to Chukudum fall in an ambush resulting in the loss of two innocent lives and wounding of a young girl.
The deceases whose souls were painfully terminated from this sinful earthly life are the driver and a woman.
The SPLM State Secretariat at this agonizing time is gravely concern and strongly condemns this retrogressive behavior in the strongest terms possible and calls upon the perpetrators to be held accountable and be brought to full force of the law. In the same regard, the SPLM Eastern Equatoria State Secretariat strongly urges all the communities and groups practicing this harmful act to restrain from and totally reject violence
. It should be clear that unnecessary killings along our roads are unacceptable and are lawfully punishable.
To the aggrieved families, SPLM Eastern Equatoria State Secretariat firmly stands with you and Budi County Local Government at this black moment. To the God, we belong and to him we shall all go. May the innocent souls of our beloved departed brother and sister rest in the eternity of our Lord Jesus Christ.
