South Sudan`s President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Wednesday night sack two officials nominated by the Sudan People`s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) in Warrap State and announced replacements.
In a decree read on the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Cooperation, Kiir sacked Arop Arop Akol, the chairperson of the Employees Justice Chamber, and Makur Abur Anei, a member of the Anti corruption Commission.
He then appointed William Malith Tongriel as the chairperson of the state Employees Justice Chamber, and Angelo Noon Wal as a member of the state Anticorruption Commission.
The South Sudan leader did not give any explanation for the sacking of the officials apart from citing his constitutional powers to appoint and remove public servants.
