In a statement released by the Maternity department and extended to ThejubaMirror News Desk, a concerning development has been reported. A neonate was born with a congenital defect in the idyllic town of Yida Phoc, situated in the heart of Ruweng administrative Area.
A neonatal was delivery at Yida PHOC on April 10, 2024, at prim gravida at 38 week at 7:30am spontaneous vaginal delivery by breech presentation with anterior frontal head swelling and intestinal drill out defect(location center presence of peritoneum content intestine)birth defect of abdomen belly known as omphalocele,
The mother is para 1 national from aliiny county, not known with any medical condition, she has not a good antenatal history and non any history of long-term medical and travel
According to the mother she went for ANC visit three times ,in panrieng hospital, she was taking folic acid for three month ,no history of chronic illness and no history of chronic medication ,no history of positing in first trimester, blood grouping and blood serology not seen in ANC card, in family no similar condition,
when she was delivery resuscitation of neonate was done for 30 minute until infant recover and crying Apgar score 6/7/9 ,place saline soaked gauze around defect baby cover infant to prevent hypothermia
A neonatal was given pre referral management and refer to panrieng hospital for surgical intervention and further management; however, the condition is suggestive for blood serology test The doctors report says there is no history of chronic illness in both families of father and mother .
