The US Federal bond hearing for Peter Biar Ajak was denied on Friday.After listening to the government’s prosecutor and Biar’s defense attorney, the judge decided to keep Biar in jail until the next court date that would be determined in early May.
The prosecutor argued that Mr Biar could be a flight risk because of his high-profile connections worldwide and financial means that could help facilitate his escape from the US to anywhere he might desire.
The federal prosecutor cited that Peter Biar Ajak posted danger to the people of South Sudan, and that could be evidenced in his quest for those dangerous weapons which he tried to illegally export to South Sudan from the US.
