The leader of Sudan’s Paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, arrives in Addis Ababa today.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Demeke Mekonnen welcomed the General at Bole International Airport.
He visited Uganda on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing conflict in Sudan with President Yoweri Museveni.
Daglo, whose whereabouts during the war have been unknown, said he adheres to the outcomes set forth by the 41st Extraordinary Assembly of the IGAD Heads of State and Government in Djibouti. President Museveni confirmed the meeting, saying Daglo briefed him on the current situation in Sudan.
The planned face-to-face meeting between military leader Gen, Abdel Fattah al Burhan and Gen. Dagalo has been postponed to January. The war between the army and RSF broke out in mid-April due to disagreements over plans for a political transition and the integration of the RSF into the army
