Heavily armed militia forces of the Murle community in Pibor County, known as the Cobra reportedly on the move to invade the neighboring community of Anyuak in Pochalla County, situated on the eastern South Sudan border along with the Ethiopia.
Intelligence sources reported that the Juba regime helped mobilized sizable militia forces along with the one battalion from the SSPF forces in Pibor area to attack the Headquarters of Pochalla County in aims to retake their garrison which was captured by the Anyuak fighters two weeks ago.
That fight involved massive attack by the government, using helicopter gunships on the civilians in Pochalla as the regime tries to exploit the natural resources such as the gold deposits discovered in the region, at the expense of the local community of Anyuak.
Sources, said the forces have already left the Pibor territory two days ago and headed toward Pochalla County and could launched an attack on the Anyuak community in any moment.
The Juba regime has been using these notorious militia forces for years to terrorize and destabilize the neighboring communities, such the Nuer of Ethiopia and South Sudan, Dinka of Jonglei and the Anyuak of South Sudan.
