Juba, 27th September 2023- President Salva Kiir has travelled to Russia on a state visit to Moscow to engage in bilateral talks with President Vladimir Putin to build on the two countries bilateral relations.
Speaking to the press, Minister of Presidential Affairs, Dr. Baranaba Marial Benjamin said President Kiir will explain the process and implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement and the forthcoming elections in 2024.
Minister Marial also said talks between the two principles will discuss the lifting of arms embargo and targeted sanctions on individuals.
President Kiir has been drumming support in lifting arms embargo while meeting the leaders of UN security Council and regional leaders.
