Vice President Prof. James Wani Igga paid hospital visit to Chief Matayo Kenyi Jale who was admitted last night in Freedom International Hospital.
Chief Matayo Kenyi, Head Chief of Lo’bonok Payam was shot by an indiscipline SSPDF Soldier stationed in Pager hills of Luwala Boma in Lo’bonok since 2020. According to reports, the Soldier by name Pvt. Dut intended to kill the chief for complain of he has over stayed in Lo’bonok and the chiefs couldn’t report for their transfer from the area.
The Chief situation is stable more better than before and the doctors report confirmed no case of risk or health deterioration.
Chief Kenyi was shot at evening around 7:00 pm on Tuesday, and the culprit came to chief resident several times during the day with various demands for money, alcohol, food and other basic needs.
Vice President assure the government and the military Headquarters will take serious measures and the culprit brought to book. The State, County authorities and SSPDF Command are now handling the issue in legal and administrative manner.
