JUBA – The holdout armed group, South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUF/A) led by Gen. Dickson Gatluak claims they have received about 33 military officers from the PMPC of Gen. James Ochan Puot and the SPLA-IO under Dr. Riek Machar, according to Col. Philip Deng Kuol Nguot, the group’s military spokesman.
“The South Sudan United Front/Army, office of the official military spokesman is much honored and pleased to announce to the general public, SSUF/A revolutionary staunch supporters across the globe that, the entire leadership of our movement is proud to welcome the “heroic decision” willingly taken by our like-minded comrades mainly the former PMPC members and SPLM-IO from Maiwut County of Upper Nile State who switched their allegiances to the SSUF/A-ND under Gen. Dickson Gatluak Jock Nyuot. The group of 33 has got some good trained officers, NCOs and men, and is headed by Col. Tut Ruach Gith”. Reads part of the statement.

He revealed in the statement.

In January, SSUF/A-ND announced an ouster against Malong in search for a lasting peace with Juba regime, but Malong later accused them of breaching SSUF/A constitution by holding secret talks with the government.
