Hon. Bol Joseoh Agau, an MP in RTNLA started his political career in 2009 when he joined SPLM-DC in a convention held in Khartoum, Friendship Hall in Sudan..
In his quest to change the lives of his people politically, socially and economically, he dared the single party system established by the CPA in the South and the NCP in North of Sudan.
It was unheard of to be outside the SPLM party during the CPA days in the Southern Sudan politics. However, his party SPLM-DC contested the 2010 Southern Sudan presidency against SPLM Chairman Salva Kiir Mayardit. SPLM-DC lost to SPLM by unscrupulous wide margin of 93% for SPLM and 7% for SPLM-DC. No invalid votes counted.
As a social worker and a politician, Hon. Bol Joseph Agau resigned from SPLM-DC in 2012 to protect himself from insecurities of the opposition in South Sudan politics and hibernated his political activities to work for USAID funded projects in Upper Nile Region.
In 2016, when the ARCISS was violently abrogated, Dr. Lam Akol who was fortunately found to be in Nairobi, Kenya by the J1 unfortunate events formed a new party: the NDM Party.
Being principled and in admiration of the leadership of Dr. Lam Akol, there was no doubt that the political buds of Hon. Bol Joseph Agau were triggered again to reconnect with his former SPLM-DC Chairman.
This reconnection has culminated to his nomination to Parliament and appointment into the highest organ of NDM Party by the Chairman of NDM Party.
The consistent loyalty to political beliefs and building political history patiently have been awarded by the party to be a member of National Executive Committee, a look alike of the SPLM and SPLM-IO PB.
Congratulations poured in from various supporters of Hon. Bol Joseph Agau as seen on his Facebook pages.
The Juba Mirror adds its voice to congratulate a politician who fights for his people without fear or favour.
