JUBA – The holdout armed group, South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUF/A) led by Gen. Dickson Gatluak claims they have received about seven military officers from NAS of Gen. Thomas Cirillo. According to Col. Philip Deng Kuol Nguot, the group’s military spokesman.
“The office of SSUF/A official military spokesman is much honored to welcome about 7 officers who abandoned the National Salvation Front (NAS) under Gen. Thomas Cirillo and shifted their allegiances to the SSUF/A Nairobi Declaration under Gen. Dickson Gatluak”, reads the statement seen by Thejubamirror.
“It’s pleasure to register the following names in our record”.
“Lt. Col. Alfred John, Lt. Col. Henry Jeremiah James, Capt. Ngor Mading Aher, Capt. Clement Santino Michael, 1st. Lt. Dhuor Chuol Kok, 2nd. Lt. Tombe Martin and 2nd. Lt. Sikondo Jada James”, Col. Philip Deng Kuol revealed in the statement.
“With a great pleasure, SSUF/A leadership cares for all servicemen and all are welcome to the rank and files of SSUF/A”, Col. Deng added.
In January, SSUF/A-ND announced an ouster against Malong in search for a lasting peace with Juba regime, but Malong later accused them of breaching SSUF/A constitution by holding secret talks with the government.
