As we keep an eye on the security situation in Rii-yubu which last night saw an extension of armed robbery on the Church’s premises where some four of the deployed Abare Melitias and their alliances among the SSPDF particularly the section referred to as the operation and some of the National security forces last night launched an armed robbery attack on the Church’s premises in Ave Maria parish whereby the watchman un armed was put on gun point by the 4 armed Melitias who dragged him to the different locations within the parish premises like the sitting room and stores and other offices and Chapel where they wandalised and desacred Church vessels and vestments by scattering them down and trampling over them with their feet and later on dragged the watchman into one of the garages of the motorbikes where the stole two motorbikes of Kibo type and Boxer type. On accomplishing their mission as directed by Futuyo to distablise the parish which was at the verge of launching the celebration of it’s Centenary of 100 years of faith now holding it at a stand still. As if that was enough they went on to hand over one bullet to the harmless watchman instructing him to give the bullet to the residing priests and to tell them that they will come back for their bullet anytime, this statement shows a clear threat to the lives of the Priests who are from foreign nationality this is an act of crime which Futuyo and his armed Melitias is posing to the life of these innocent men of God who willing volunteered to serve God’s people.
When they had finished with their mission in the parish and came to the health centre where the robbed another motorbike from one of the health personnels of Ngboko PHCU and all the three bikes were not ridden at first but pushed till they crossed the known stream call Rabaraba on the way to Rii-yubu two. As the moved short distance from the PHCU because the Kibo bike was difficult to dislodge and ride, they deserted it and threw it down where it was found by the youth who started following up the bikes.
After crossing Rabaraba they decided to use short cut crossing to the road towards Ezo and again turned to come to Rii-yubu town where they hide one of the motorbikes and the other bike was ridden through out the night with an attempt to go using Tombura road but since the youths had organised and blocked all the road now it became difficult so the criminals have hidden the bike within the bushes across Gbazuru Stream where they Youths are trucking. It is believed that the other bike is kept at the army Barracks or in the bushes around the Barracks we are still to see further development on that in the next couple of hours. Stay tuned.
