The founder of Cush International Church, self-proclaimed prophet Abraham Chol, has been allegedly dismissed from his role as a church leader by the church’s high council, according to the church source.
Chol’s dismissal came after he denied Jesus and claimed that the congregation should worship him as God instead.
Abraham Chol is a controversial figure who was previously arrested and spent almost two years behind bars after claiming that President Kiir and First Vice President Riek Machar would not remain in power for much longer. His recent claims have caused a deep divide within the church, with some members following Chol’s new teachings and others considering him to be a lunatic.
The current leader of Cush International Church is Pastor Samuel Mabor Aliet. The church has not yet commented publicly on the situation with Chol.
