Unity State Governor Dr.Ngun Manoyituil and Commissioner of Koch county Hon. Koang Biel attempted to assassinate Wiecthiang Pualino Matip in the past 17 /04/2023. Government security agents call on telephones and issue 2 hours to Pualino Son to leave Unity state.
Pualino Left the GPOC company on his way to airport, he was follow by two military cars and threat him with guns pointer. The assassinated attempted was witness by civilian and some SSPDF military officer.
The state governor accused Pualino for construct political mobilization of adherent of Governorship candidate. These accusation made was unverified and not empirical evidence by the state government. The fact was the governor of Unity State does not want the potential people to stay in Bentiu with him.
Very unfortunately, to the government of unity State to plan assassinated his own government official who are loyal to President Kirr. The action is violation of Human rights and jeopardize the peace process in the State.
I condemn these intimidations and assassination attempted by the state governor in the strongest terms possible and call on the governor and his security agents to respect the constitutional political rights of the citizen to freely express themselves on political matters affecting them in the state.

I also call on President Salva Kiir Mayardit and the Council of States to hold Governor Montyuil to account for his persistent threat and intimidating the people of Unity State.
