Western Bahr el Ghazal State Governor, Sarah Cleto has urged Muslims to uphold the principles of sacrifice, self-control, and love learned during Ramadan in order to reflect peace in the state and the nation as a whole.
She said that extending the love and unity seen throughout the Ramadan Holy Month will reflect and bring about true peace, not just among Muslim sisters and brothers but also among the nation’s residents.
“I would want to congratulate you, my Muslim brothers and sisters, on the successful conclusion of Ramadan Holy Month fasting,” Governor Cleto remarked.
Sarah highlights aspects of Muslim communities that are reflected during the fast, such as sacrifices made in combination with prayers, immense love, and solidarity.
The WBGS Governor urged Muslims to keep up their prayers for the country’s peace, love, and stability.
“Let the principles of sacrifice, peace, togetherness and love learned during the Ramadan season move forward,” she lamented.
“As we celebrate the end of Ramadan Holy Month and Eid al Fitr, I urge our people to use this feast to achieve genuine peace among us and urge you to keep praying for peace, love, and stability in the country,” the governor continued.
She called on the populace to speak out for the defense of human dignity and for respecting one another’s religious beliefs.
