It has come to our notice that after opening of the exaggerated costing gate of the NTLA last week, the embattled Speaker has passed an order to the security at the new gate banning members of the public from accessing the Parliament building not even in the company of their MPs. Imagine an MP going with his chief to the Parliament, and then Nunu says he is a member of the public and he can not enter, and he can only do so on Friday under strict conditions.

It is the first time in history that members of the public can not pay a visit to their constituencies representative in Parliament in all the democracies around the world. Not only that, in all democracies members of the public are allowed to attend certain sittings in the gallery allocated to the public in order to observe that people they elected are debating the country’s issues well.

So by turning Parliament into an authocratic house, Jemma Nunu is showing her true colour that she is here to fight and destroy the aspirations of the South Sudanese people. The public needs to have access to that parliament because it is everybody father, mother, brother, or sister who lost lives so that we attain nationhood. MPs whether or elected ir selected there are there to represent people and riase issues which affect the people in everyday haooening I tgeir lives whether economic, social or political representation and that is why every Parliament is accessible to members of the public

Of recent the embattled Speaker had said to have cut most of the trees which used to surround the Parliament building as a way of limiting political discussion in the house of Parliament. Whenever she saw groups of people sitting under trees and talking the assumption was they were discussing her ouster especially if members of the public joined their MPs under those trees She did the cutting of the trees without regard to women ( mainly wive of vetrans and mytyrs) who used to provide tea, water and food under those trees as a way of earning a living since the pay of organised forces are useless and no nody even cares about those who sacrificed for the country. Furthermore the cutting of the trees has devastating effect on the environment around Parliament as wind effect and heat sets in. Even gerting water and snacks are a big issue to the MPs nowadays.

Now banning access to members of the public will make her position untenable even further more because rumours and gossiping about her bad behaviour will continue to make headlines, and she can never rest. We are calling on the President to intervene and preserve the spirit of democracy in our country by opening up Parliamenta it used to be. Since the Independence of our country we had Speakers come and go and none was at war with the public and all respected the culture of Parliament as house of politics open and accessible to the public for the good of the country

( When I called one of Security guys old me as a Government official with ID I can enter but elanybody just going with no ID or motive to meet somebody cannot enter).
