The United Nations chopper carrying the Upper Nile State delegation from Juba to Ayod County in Jonglei State has crashed this morning at Juba International Airport, just a few minutes after takeoff. However, all passengers on board were safely evacuated from the flight.
Upper Nile Coordination Office in Juba has announced this news and assured that no harm was caused to any passengers.
“We are grateful for the prompt action of the authorities and relief workers who ensured the safety of everyone involved,” press statement from coordination office reads.
