This is to let the authorities know a group that has been silently monitoring events in Lakes state will start speaking out on maladministration properly concealed in claims of restoration of justice. The grace period of the administration is clearly over and they are working very hard to turn to grass.
The documented areas will range from terror squads organized to carry out wantonly killings, torture, robbing of civilian property, abuse of women and financial corruption among others.
All these are invaded in the courts, police and other various government offices.
Necessary data will come from people affected with evidences and from whistle blowers within the administration itself.
The intention of speaking out is not to advocate for change of the current administration for we cannot undermine the gains it made to stabilise the state from civil violence but to keep reminding them their responsibility to operate within ambits of law.
The state parliament that is tasked with oversight functions is silence with many MPs receiving individual threats and civil society operating in fear. So, an external parliament of scribes concerned about affairs of the state will take charge.
Note that these documented administrative wrongs are not only meant for this platform but will be used in future against individuals including the governor himself when he exits the stage which is why this note should reach him.
He can decide to continue using force to drive fear into citizens or administer with the existing laws that justly punish wrong doing.
The group is non-partisan and us not interested in politicking on ethnic or party lines but purely on rule of law. So individuals that will be profiled for mistakes the commit will be done so on how they misused their powers and not because of who they are or where they come from.
To conclude, we begin with the mission with a call to release those detained during confrontations with authorities in Tuesday’s demolition exercise and bring to book the killer of the young man who passed away this morning due to gunshot wounds.
